2013.
I'm not the kind of girl who has ever believed in New Years resolutions and yet here at the end of 2013 I realize I made quite a few unexpected and exciting changes to my life this past year.
Following over from 2012, I continued the practice of stepping outside of my comfort zone. I explored things that interested me, even when it meant going alone. From renaissance festivals to geek expos to Maker Boot Camp, I did it all and had a blast.
I was brave in so many ways or so I have been told.
Here is to more bravery, more friendship, and more adventure in 2014!
I began the year by saying goodbye to people in my life who were not healthy for me and did not have my best interests at heart. It was heartbreaking and I didn't always have a say in the matter, but it was completely and totally worth it.
Through saying goodbye, I also learned who my true friends are and was able to focus more of my time on those who are important to me.
Following over from 2012, I continued the practice of stepping outside of my comfort zone. I explored things that interested me, even when it meant going alone. From renaissance festivals to geek expos to Maker Boot Camp, I did it all and had a blast.
More importantly, I didn't have to do it all alone for 2013 was the year I finally found my match. Well, I had found him quite a bit earlier, it just took three years for either of us to realize it.
I drove out of the state and did it all by myself! It wasn't until my fifth and final out-of-state journey that I finally had company. A far cry from the girl who was afraid to merge onto the highway in 2012.
After years of dreaming, I finally started my own business selling tiny hats! The business will have to go on hiatus while I am living abroad, but I am glad I at least gave it a shot.
I was brave in so many ways or so I have been told.
Here is to more bravery, more friendship, and more adventure in 2014!
